Reporting Violations

Users can report content that violates our Community Guidelines. All reports are reviewed by our moderation team.

Moderation Review Process

When content is reported, our moderation team will review the report and may access:

• The reported content (posts, comments, listings, profiles, groups, or messages)
• Author/owner information of the reported content
• Engagement metrics and interaction history
• For reported private messages: The specific reported message plus limited context (3-5 messages before and after) to understand the conversation context

Access Logging

All moderation access to user content is logged for compliance and accountability purposes. These logs are retained for 12 months and include:

• Which moderator accessed what content
• When the access occurred
• The reason for access (related report category)
• For message reviews: how many messages were viewed

Moderation Actions

Based on the review, moderators may take the following actions:

• No action (if no violation found)
• Hide or remove content
• Issue warnings to users
• Add strikes to user accounts
• Temporary or permanent account suspension
• Restrict access to specific features (marketplace, messaging)
• Report illegal content to law enforcement

User Notifications

Users will be notified of moderation decisions affecting their content or account via email and in-app notifications. The notification will include the reason for the action and information about appeals (where applicable).

Appeals

If you believe a moderation decision was made in error, you may appeal within 30 days. Appeals are reviewed by senior moderators and decisions are typically made within 7 days.
